Seeking Artwork for Logo for the
2021 AATA Conference in San Diego
Lisa Falls, MFA, MPS, LPCC, ATR-BC, San Diego Local Arrangements Committee Chair
The San Diego Local Arrangements Committee (LAC) is seeking artwork for the AATA conference. The conference theme, Reconnecting and Visualizing Future Pathways for Art Therapy in a Diverse Society, is to be used as key inspiration to help relay a visual message for this year’s national conference theme.
Please use the theme Reconnecting and Visualizing Future Pathways for Art Therapy in a Diverse Society to inform the concept of your art submission that captures these motifs:
-
Pathways - as we together consider the direction forward for the profession of Art Therapy.
-
Diversity - as we envision a future of true inclusion and respect for the uniqueness of human life experiences.
-
Reconnection - as we emerge from the difficult days of quarantine and isolation into the next normal as a community.
-
Southern California - visuals that bring to heart the uniqueness of the 2021 Conference location.
An image will be selected from the submissions to be used as (or be incorporated into) the conference logo. The logo will play a prominent role as the main symbol for the San Diego conference in the conference proceedings, webpage, and marketing. The selected artist will be recognized at the conference and in the reveal of the new logo. If your image is selected by AATA, you will need to be willing to release the use of the image to AATA.
If you are an art therapist or art therapy student, please consider submitting a digital copy of your original artwork toLACSanDiego21@gmail.com by no later than March 30th at 10pm.
If you have any questions about the submission of artwork or about participating as part of the Local Arrangements Committee, please contact the LAC chair, Lisa Falls, at Lisa@LisaFalls.com. Thank you.
