Course Description:
Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) is a simple, non-invasive tapping procedure, stimulating different meridian points. It is based in meridian therapies such as acupressure and acupuncture. EFT draws upon theories of energy psychology, which contend that disruptions in the body’s electrical system are related to negative psychological states. This course will explore how art therapy can be used in conjunction with meridian therapies to create a profound emotional healing effect and balance the body’s energy system. Trauma, anxiety, addiction, depression, PTSD, phobias, anger and many other issues will be addressed through art making and EFT.
Hands on art experientialsare included before and after learning this technique. Art making will serve as a visual description of the identified issue and add insight into the process.
Once learned, EFT can be used in or outside of therapy, giving clients a powerful tool to use as needed. Participants will learn to assess when EFT is an apporpriate intervention and how to apply these techniques in different situations.
Supplies will be provided.
