SoCalATA and Free Arts for Abused Children are Collaborating
At our March 5th Business Meeting we invited Free Arts Development Director, Annie Arbrust and Tiana Rideout to Speak and with this, we begin to renew our long time relationship with Free Arts for Abused Children. both SoCalATA and Free Arts are very excited about renewing our relationship and collaborating regarding the healing power of art.
We have planned our first event-- SoCalATA members are invited to attend an Open heARTS Tour of Free Arts with a no-host mixer to follow-- see details below:
Event: Open heARTS Tour
Description: An Open heARTS Tour is a one-hour tour of Free Arts for Abused Children's mission. Our mission is to inspire hope in the lives of abused, homeless, and at-risk children through innovative creative arts programs and positive interactions with caring adult volunteers. You will see how Free Arts inspires hope, creates understanding, and builds self-esteem during the interactive tour experience. Through activities and stories, we invite you to learn more about Free Arts and to share the work with others.

Mixer to follow at The Wood Café across the street
Parking: Free Arts is located at the intersection of Washington Blvd. and Inglewood Blvd., just 2 blocks east of Centinela. You can park on the street in front of 12095 W. Washington Blvd., but it may be easier to park in the (free) parking garage our staff uses. The garage is located at 4173 Inglewood Blvd. , LA , 90066. It is covered in ivy and has signs for "The Help Group" on the outside. From there, walk toward the open courtyard, and take a left through a glass door before reaching the metal gate. Go down the small flight of stairs, and our office is on the right, Suite 104 .
